The two new solar panels have shown up. They are the same width and a foot longer then the 80 Watt panel mounted on Ava, but they are 165 Watts each. The efficiency of these amazing devices just keeps getting better. 330 Watts should be a good start to becoming self sufficient for extended trips off the dock. Now to mount them. It’s been quite a winter for us in the PNW. Multiple snow events, covering the main travel routes through Oregon and Washington, are something I haven’t seen before. It’s been windy, cold and wet. Though I enjoy the winter, I’m ready for spring please. Odyssey’s haul out is scheduled for a little over three weeks from now. Her cutlass bearing needs to be replaced and the bottom paint refreshed. It will be a chunk of change but should keep her in the water for the next few years.
