Odyssey

Popularly known as the Baba 35, this traditionally styled full-keel double ender from the drawing board of Robert H. Perry started life officially dubbed the Flying Dutchman 35. It’s one of the prettiest of double-enders from Perry, blessed with beautifully proportioned lines that many fall in love with. Odyssey was built in 1984.

I am inescapably drawn to the sea. There is a consuming desire to sail away and find the perceived freedom I think exists just over the horizon. I can feel the truth of it. Maybe you can too.

Discovering sailing changed my life, old story, but new and wonderful to me.
I think I have always been a gypsy at heart. For me that means making the most of who, where and what I am, and remembering to embrace life by being an active participant with open eyes. It does not hurt either that I love travel, particularly for the sake of art. I have been fortunate to live in many places in the world, and traveled to many more, and grown to love the adventure of discovery. I am first and always however, an artist, and the two fit nicely together. I am creative in many mediums and love to play in all art forms, and have recently discovered a way to satisfy all my needs (both financial and emotional) on the water. With my new boat Odyssey and a sweetheart for my Captain, sailing presents for me endless opportunities, changing vistas and unknown ports all filled with possibilities ripe for the drawing and discovery. Beauty is everywhere, you just have to stop and look.
Bio: I'm a Gemini, I like long walks on the shore letterboxing....the van Gogh museum, German and Dutch cuisine, Schmineke watercolors, Baba sailboats, and gin & tonics.
